(Pete at right) He saw a great deal of action - too much. Only nine men from his company of one hundred men returned from the war. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. His younger brother, Stanley (Stelios in Greek), was killed during the opening invasion of the Battle of the Bulge, the night of December 17th, 1944.
My father learned after the war that he was only thirty-five miles
away from his brother when he was killed.
